The testing problems this solves

A payment terminal may work correctly on its own, yet a transaction still fails if the link with the POS is out of step. The ECR interface responses are checked separately.

What is checked

Passing the amount and transaction type, the responses for approval, void and refund, recovery from a dropped link, and the receipt printing handover.

Where it is used

Checks when replacing the POS, adding a payment terminal model, or updating the version of the ECR protocol.
