Rail and transit
Testing transit cards and gates.
Taps that keep the gates moving. We evaluate the RF and protocol of contactless cards and transit terminals against ISO/IEC 10373 and transit schemes.
What can be tested
| Device under test | Specification and scope |
|---|---|
| Contactless cards (PICC) | ISO/IEC 10373-6 Analog/Digital, ISO/IEC 14443 A/B/B' |
| Transit readers and gate terminals (PCD) | ISO/IEC 10373-6, Reference PICC Class 1-6 |
| Vicinity cards | ISO/IEC 10373-7, ISO/IEC 15693 / 18000-3 |
| Transit schemes | CIPURSE, Calypso and others |
Test configuration
Test platforms
ProxiLAB Quest, the basis for PCD-side emulation and RF analysis
Runtime
SCRIPTIS™ for test execution, instrument control, logging and reporting
Test Suite
ISO PICC / PCD Analog / Digital Test Suite
Reference fixtures
ISO PCD Assembly 1/2, Reference PICC, PICC Probe, CMR
Measurement / Automation
Oscilloscope, RF amplifier and positioning robot
ImportantWhen testing a PICC you use the reference environment on the PCD side, and when testing a PCD the reference environment on the PICC side. Which edition of an ISO standard applies depends on the year of publication, so the applicable specification is fixed at quotation.
Products used in this area
In this area you use both the runtime that is embedded in the device under test and the tester that verifies it. They are colour-coded by role.
